If you are sure you are not over feeding your baby and are still concerned about regurgitation then the next step is to make some small changes for two weeks to see if these solve the problem.

When to seek more help

After two weeks, if you see any of the symptoms below, talk to your GP or Health Visitor to get further advice and help:

  • regurgitation symptoms have not improved after two weeks
  • crying particularly during and after feeding
  • frequent hiccups
  • unable to lay on back
  • having to keep upright after feeds
  • bad breath
  • difficulty sleeping
  • wheezing
